Lucy Helen Kostos (b.1993) is a practising artist based in Melbourne/Naarm.
Lucy specialises in analogue film and glass.
Lucy was first introduced to glass at Monash University, where she completed a Bachelor of Visual Arts in 2017. Her time at Monash also included a scholarship to Pilchuck Glass School in Seattle.

Lucy uses recycled float glass and repurposes it into sculptural forms. She manipulates the glass through a kiln-based process. Her interest lies in materiality, and the everchanging function of the medium. Thermal changes and varying material elements are exposed to the glass to create textures and movements akin to the natural environment. Her sculptures are organic, ethereal landscapes - mapping the natural world as precarious and beautiful – just like the vulnerabilities of glass.
